Who can apply
Bachelor of Engineering students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply to the co-op program:
- Has a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0
- Will have completed the Diploma in Engineering by April 30th
- Has at least four study terms remaining in their program
- Is eligible to work in Canada (international students with a valid study permit must apply for a co-op work permit)
- Is proficient in oral and written English
- Is motivated and capable of handling the extra workload of participating in a job competition while carrying a full course load
When to apply
Engineering students apply 8 months prior to the first work term which is from September to December. View the work term schedule for Environmental Engineering.
How to apply
Register for the Online Co-op Orientation Course (ENGI 8890) by end of mid-September.
How to be admitted
- Complete the Online Co-op Orientation Course (ENGI 8890) by mid-April. Course access instructions will be emailed to you by the end of September.
- Obtain the Diploma in Engineering by April 30th. Students completing the Diploma in Engineering after April 30th will not have access to co-op job postings, but may choose to conduct a self-directed job search for the fall term. All self-obtained co-op positions must be approved for Co-op by mid-September.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.3 as of April 30th
