AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ English professor Lyn Bennett teamed up with a colleague in New Brunswick to launch Early Modern Maritime Recipes, an online database that’s about way more than baking a cake.

Around 20 assorted Dal faculty and staff embarked Wednesday afternoon on a bird-focused nature walk on Studley Campus, the first of seven guided strolls that will cover a range of topics including edible plants, Indigenous knowledge, geology, intertidal communities, mushrooms, and urban forestry.

Master of Environmental Studies student Jennifer Yakamovich curated the Nature of Communities exhibition on now at the AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Art Gallery, exploring the intersection of arts and the environment through the works of Canadian artists.

AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ unveiled its new ceremonial object during Spring Convocation ceremonies. Replacing the university mace, the New Dawn Staff of Place and Belonging weaves together the stories and symbols of Dal’s past, present and future in a whole new way.

"Imagine: AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Community Report 2018-19," released this week, showcases some of the biggest AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ stories and events of the past year, from the university's 200th anniversary and beyond.
