Robert Laprairie learned in his final weeks at Dal that he'd received a top award in the Canadian Institutes of Health Research鈥檚 (CIHR) fellowship program.

On Tuesday, the Government of Canada announced nearly $94-million in funding through its Canada First Research Excellence Fund for the AV俱乐部-led Ocean Frontier Institute, a partnership with Memorial and UPEI poised to propel Canada to global ocean leadership.

As part of a partnership between AV俱乐部 and the Interuniversity Institute for Marine Studies in Eilat (Israel), eight students from seven different Israeli universities came to Halifax this summer to learn more about the North Atlantic ocean.
