AV¾ãÀÖ²¿

AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ and CUPE Local 3912 have successfully reached a tentative collective agreement. CUPE will not be taking strike action tomorrow (Tuesday).

CUPE Local 3912 has filed notice of its members’ intention to strike as early as Tuesday, October 21. Strike notice does not mean a strike is certain — negotiations are scheduled for Monday (October 20), and we remain hopeful an agreement can be reached that would prevent a strike.

Tomorrow (Tuesday, September 23), classes that were suspended during the labour disruption will resume. Today, the AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Senate met and voted to approve the remaining academic dates for the fall term.

The new collective agreement between the AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Board of Governors and the AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Faculty Association (DFA) has been ratified by both parties.

The AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Board of Governors and the AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Faculty Association (DFA) have come to terms on a tentative collective agreement. At 2 p.m. Tuesday, we will confirm the date classes will resume.

Suspended classes are expected to resume on Tuesday, September 23. We continue to work through the many other decisions and logistics of returning faculty and students to learning and research. We ask everyone’s patience as these important details come together.

The bargaining teams for the AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Board of Governors and AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Faculty Association (DFA) have agreed to continue discussions this evening (Monday, September 15).
