My Responsibilities

As solid state NMR spectroscopist at AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ since 2003 I oversee the 400 MHz and 200 MHz solid state Bruker NMR spectrometers and the Helium recovery/reliquification instruments in the chemistry room 127.

My Research

My collaborative research addresses topics from organic, inorganic, and physical Chemistry, biochemistry, materials characterization, and NMR technique development. Samples studied were of both academic and industrial interest and origin. My main emphasis is in the solid state NMR field. Here are some examples:Ìý

Before joining the NMR-3 Facility at AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ in 2003 I served asÌý

  • the manager of the NMR facility (liquid and solid state NMR) at Indiana University, USA, (1997-2003)
  • a visitin scientist with Professor B. F. Chmelka at the University of California, Santa Barbara, California, USA (2014-2015)Ìý
  • a visiting scientist with Professor H.W. Spiess at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany, (2008 and 1998)
  • a postdoctoral fellow with Professor Mark Hollingsworth at Indiana University, USA (1993-1997), and
  • a postdoctoral fellow with Professor A. Pines at the University of California at Berkeley, California, USA (1991-1993).
