Four sisters, one soul.
Mark Adamo’s operatic adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel explores the profound changes that transform the life of its heroine, Jo – and of all human beings. As in the original novel, Jo’s fierce love for her sisters remains paramount. Yet she must ultimately accept that even the sincerest love and the strongest will cannot prevent change, stave off loss, or keep adulthood—with its cares and joys—from arriving.

Directed by Roberta Barker, with music direction by Cindy Townsend, AV¾ãÀÖ²¿â€™s  Fountain School proudly announces our 2025 Opera production featuring a wonderful ensemble of voice students. Little Women features Elizabeth Ruxton and Corinne James as Jo, Ella Howard and Raphaelia Bokolos as Meg, Katie Alexander as Beth, Caralina Knights and Ella Howard as Amy, Jordan Gracie as Laurie, Caralina Knights and Maddy Mensour as Alma March, Stephen Deturbide as John Brooke, Jonathon Kean as Gideon/Dashwood, Rory O’Brien and Hannah Kroesbergen as Cecilia March,  with chorus members Princess Autut & Sarah MacGinnis, and alumna Karina Matys as Friedrich Bhaer.

DalOpera is very thankful to be beautifully supported by repetiteur/pianists Tara Scott and Indra Egan. We are thrilled to have Set Designer Katrin Whitehead, Costume Designer Diego Cavedon Dias and Lighting Designer Bruce MacLennan.

Our students in AV¾ãÀÖ²¿â€™s Stage Design and Technical Theatre and Costume Studies programs further support the production, including Assistant Director Elizabeth VanGorder, Stage Manager Mia Larche, and Assistant Stage Managers Naomi Dansie, & Emmy Guye. See you at the opera!
