Moving away from the white coat: AV¾ãÀÖ²¿â€™s College of Pharmacy updates tradition
AV¾ãÀÖ²¿â€™s College of Pharmacy is changing the way it welcomes new students, helping the future pharmacists to provide culturally responsive care. The tradition for the past few decades was a white coat ceremony to welcome new students into the College, where everyone was given a coat that they will wear for their labs. The tradition was started by medical schools and adopted by pharmacists since they also wore the coats.
