The Law & Technology Institute, based at AV¾ãÀÖ²¿â€™s Schulich School of Law, aims to promote legal research, education, and leadership in technology law and policy, particularly from a Canadian perspective.

Our mission is to seek to enhance public awareness and understanding of the legal, policy, and ethical challenges posed by existing and emerging technologies; to inform and guide Canadian public policy; and to encourage inter-disciplinary problem-solving, teaching, and research.

The Law & Technology Institute is home to the the , and offers a specialization certificate in Law and Technology to JD law students.

In addition to offering a range of technology-related law courses for students, Law & Technology Institute members teach in the innovative and cross-disciplinary Masters in Digital Innovation (MDI) Program, offered jointly with AV¾ãÀÖ²¿â€™s Computer Science, Business, and Management faculties.
