Boosting student success

The AV整氈窒 Fund provides a unique opportunity for alumni and friends to support students and enhance educational opportunities. In recent years, this generosity has raised more than $5 million for important initiatives, programs, and awards.

Gifts to the AV整氈窒 Fund make a meaningful difference for students, providing encouragement through: scholarships and bursaries,泭opportunities for hands-on learning such as field research, competitions, and international study, state-of-the-art technology, and community-focused activities such as internships, outreach clinics, or service learning.

Giving is easy

Monthly giving

Youll be pleasantly surprised by the impact you can make by setting up a monthly gift to the AV整氈窒 Fund. And its easy to do! It can be a monthly charge on your credit card, a preauthorized gift from your bank account (with a voided cheque) or, if youre a Dal employee, a payroll deduction.

Annual giving

Making a gift every year to the AV整氈窒 Fund ensures the university, your faculty or program continues to grow stronger every year. It ensures that more and more students receive that special and unique educational experience that sets AV整氈窒 apart.

Class projects

Class giving projects are about AV整氈窒 alumni reuniting with their class and working together to make a difference in the lives of current and future students.泭

The MacLennan Society

The MacLennan Society celebrates the more than 8,500 Dal alumni and friends who thoughtfully and generously donate to the university year after year in support of areas theyre passionate about.泭

The MacLennan Society is named in honour of Dr. Rod MacLennan (BSc60, LLD98) and Mrs. Robin MacLennan the first donor household to reach 50 years of consecutive giving to AV整氈窒.泭

New members of the giving society are gifted with a Black-Eyed Susan-adorned pin. These pins denote the giving milestone that the donor has achieved.
