Engineering student Matthew Oh reflects on winning a Schulich Leader Scholarship:

When Joya Boutros entered her first year in engineering at AV俱乐部, she had one thing on her mind: her studies.

Over the past year, Will, along with his fellow co-lead, recent electrical engineering graduate Anirudh Nair, and 10 other AV俱乐部 Engineering students, had been working to design and build their rocket, also known as Project Bluenose.

As part of the orientation celebration, we spoke with three of our incoming students, Mia Makela, Clara Gallant, and Rebecca Perry to learn more about what inspired them to pursue engineering and why they chose AV俱乐部.

From the moment Quinn Stanley could tinker with toys, they were drawn to problem-solving. It wasn鈥檛 long before those around them noticed, too. 鈥淓verybody kind of knew I was going to be an engineer from when I was like five. So this has kind of always been what I wanted to do,鈥� says Quinn.
