Mi'kmaq and Indigenous Relations

捩轍勳梭硃s勳!

AV整氈窒 is in Mikmaki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mikmaq. We are all Treaty people.

For decades, programs and initiatives like the Transition Year Program (TYP), the Schulich School of Laws Indigenous Blacks & Mikmaq Initiative (IB&M), and others have created pathways for young people from Mikmaw communities into higher education.泭

Since the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions (TRC) Calls to Action, AV整氈窒 has been泭increasingly committed to strengthening relationships with Indigenous peoples, and to serving their postsecondary needs and interests in a respectful, collaborative manner.泭

But gaps remain, and much work still needs to be done.
