Opting out

Some students may be eligible to opt out from the UPass program, under specific criteria. Make sure to review carefully and submit any documentation.

Are you eligible to opt out?

If you meet one of these criteria, expand the selection to find out what documentation is required.

Documentation required:

Email from your department or faculty confirming where you will be and the dates of your studies,ÌýworkÌýor research.

Documentation required:

Proof of registration with Access-a-Bus, a copy of your CNIB pass, or an email from your advisor at theÌýStudent Accessibility Centre.

Documentation required:

Proof of residence. Examples include a utility bill, lease or mortgage, or home orÌýtenants'Ìýinsurance for your residence. The documentation must be in your name.

You can not opt out of the UPass if:

  • You choose to drive, bike or walk to campus

  • You live on or near campus

  • Your scheduleÌýdoesn’tÌýallow you to take the bus

  • ³§³Ü³¾³¾±ð°ùÌý±«±Ê²¹²õ²õÌý´Ç²Ô±ô²â:ÌýOnce theÌýUPassÌýsticker has been issued, you are not able to opt out.ÌýContact the UPassÌýAdministration OfficeÌýif you need to opt out of the summerÌýUPassÌýunder extraordinary circumstances.
