Withdrawing from residence

Sometimes there are circumstances that lead to a student needing to leave residence part way through the year. The Residence Office team is here to help.

Exceptions

Exceptions to this require you to provide documentation to the Residence Office to show:

  • you have graduated from AV¾ãÀÖ²¿

  • you are withdrawing from AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ (but not due to conduct violations)

  • you are participating in a AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ program like an exchange or co-op outside of the Halifax Regional Municipality for Halifax campuses or Colchester County for the Truro campus

  • you are unable to remain in residence for other reasons acceptable to the University (documented medical reasons, etc.)

In these cases, you will be charged for the time you occupied your residence room.

Contact the Residence Office if you have questions
