Program overview
The Corporate Residency MBA pathway (CRMBA) offers an in-class delivery model that includes an eight-month paid corporate residency (work term).
The CRMBA program does not require previous work experience for admission. Additionally, the CRMBA program is available to students with undergraduate degrees from all disciplines.泭
You can also combine business administration with law in the combined CRMBA/Juris Doctor (JD) program.

Supporting documents
Applicants should hold a four-year bachelors degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from an institution recognized by AV整氈窒 with a minimum 3.0 on a 4.3 scale (B average) in the last two years (60 credits) of study.
Applicants whose admission GPA falls below 3.0, who hold a degree that is not equivalent to a four-year undergraduate degree, or who do not hold an undergraduate degree and have 10+ years of professional experience may be eligible to apply through or Prior Learning Assessment processes.

- These are acceptable at the time of application. HOWEVER, official/final versions must be submitted to the Faculty of Graduate Studies within 90 days of starting the program, if accepted. A hold will be placed on your account if you do not meet this deadline. Please make a plan ahead of time to obtain and submit your official transcripts.

Must include all final marks, the degree name/type, and the date the degree was conferred (graduation date). If this is not stated on the transcript, documentation must be provided from the University confirming this information.
- Submission options are:
a) Electronic file-transfers from the issuing institution to泭mba@dal.ca.
b) From services such as Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, eScrip-Safe, or TranscriptNetwork. All electronic transcripts must be sent to泭mba@dal.ca.
Important transcript details:
Please submit one畚opy皋f all official transcripts from ALL post-secondary institutions attended (including transfer credits, study abroad, incomplete programs).
Applicants who are in the final year of their undergraduate degree may apply but must have graduated before starting the program. The final transcript must show a conferral date prior to the programs June start date.
Transcripts submitted with applications become the property of AV整氈窒, are subject to verification, are not available for copying, and will not be returned to the applicant.胼
Notarized transcripts will not be accepted.
Transcripts in languages other than English or French must be accompanied by an English translation provided by the institution issuing the transcript.胼
Transcript grading keys must be included with the transcript.胼烙fficial transcripts are not required for any courses or degree you have completed at AV整氈窒 (unless courses were taken through the Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development) or University of Kings College. Our office will obtain these transcripts on your behalf.胼
If your transcripts have a different name than the one listed on your online application, please also submit proof of name change (e.g. marriage certificate, etc) with your application documents.
Provide two professional references病rom a recent employer (last 5 years) through the E-Reference system by including their contact information in your online application.
In the references section of the online application portal, choose No to indicate that your referee will be submitting through the E-Reference system.泭While the online reference form is generic in nature, we ask that applicants ensure their references comment on the following:
- ability to demonstrate initiative
- level of engagement
- quantitative skills
- coachability
- ability to work well as a team member
- ability to follow through on work assignments泭
- potential for career progression.
Referees may attach an additional letter to the E-Reference system desired. Please ensure that all sections of the form are fully completed.
References must be kept confidential from the applicant. References must be submitted directly by the referee through the e-mail link provided; we cannot accept them from a personal secretary or assistant. We ask that referees do not copy applicants on their correspondence with our office.
It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure references are submitted on time.

English is the language of study at AV整氈窒, therefore all applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate their capacity to pursue a graduate-level program in English before admission.胼胼

Test Taker copies of English Language reports are not accepted; they must be official documents sent from the test centre.胼胼

Note: The language competency test may be waived if the applicant has completed a degree that meets both of the following requirements:
The degree is from a recognized university where the language of instruction is English.
The university (or campus location) where the degree was obtained is in a country where English is an official language.

International applicants are required to submit this supplemental form which includes a Letter of Financial Guarantee indicating an individual or organization is accepting financial responsibility for tuition and living expenses or fully sponsoring a student during the full course of their studies.
Complete the Letter of Financial Guarantee [PDF 206 KB] document and submit it with proof of funds (e.g., bank statements, certificates of deposit) through the application portal.

As one employer aptly said, In four months you are considered a co-op student. In eight months, we treat you like an employee with all the responsibility that goes with it.
Our students secure their eight-month paid residencies with employers in the private, not-for-profit, and public service sectors. Most are located in Ontario and Atlantic Canada; however, CRMBA students have completed their residencies in locations across Canada and beyond. In addition to the opportunities generated by Management Career Services employer partners, students have the option to pursue self-developed and entrepreneurial corporate residencies.

The Certificate in Leading Collaboratively in a Complex World泭provides the opportunity for students to develop their personal and professional competencies through the examination and application of contemporary leadership management theories in a variety of challenging contexts.

What you will learn
Year 1 Summer
Following the first week of Career and Personal Development, the balance of the summer is spent completing four core courses. These provide you with a new appreciation for the world of business and give you the fundamental competencies essential for success in todays business world. Youll also benefit from personal and professional effectiveness sessions designed to help prepare them for their corporate residencies.
Year 1 Fall
Youll complete two more core courses and five foundation courses which allow students to develop a strong understanding of key organizational concepts regardless of industry sector. The term includes a competitive, immersive, team-based integrative weekend session that challenges you to fully integrate all learning to date. Specifically, youll build on your skills surrounding sales, negotiation, and teamwork. Faculty members and employer partners work together on these sessions to ensure the highest level of collaboration, simulating workplace learning.
Corporate residency
Year one continues in January with your 8-month paid corporate residencyextended work terms with leading employersrefining the concepts and skills acquired in the classroom and putting them into practice in a corporate setting. Year One ends with an intensive debriefing of the corporate residencies to harvest the important learnings and celebrate student successes.
Year 2 Fall/Winter
In addition to completing the final four core courses, our curriculum allows students to customize their degree by completing 915 credit hours of specialized electives that best suit their personal and professional goals. Designed to take your knowledge to the next level, the AV整氈窒 MBA program currently offers electives in various specialized areas. Students may choose electives from any of the specialized areas or combine MBA electives with graduate offerings from programs within and outside the Faculty of Management. The official completion of the MBA occurs at the June convocation.

In addition to the core curriculum, students in this pathway complete 9 credit hours of electives. Elective classes are留esigned to take your knowledge to the next level. Students may choose from any of the MBA electives or combine MBA electives with graduate offerings from programs within and outside of Faculty of Management.胼
Fees and funding
By enrolling in the Corporate Residency pathway in the MBA program, you are investing in a lifetime of opportunities and a proven return on investment. Our MBA Class of 2023 graduates boast an impressive average post-grad salary of $71,320. But that's not all. During the 8-month corporate residency, our students earn an average of $34,000, which offsets the tuition they pay to a great extent. Total program fee is paid in two installments prior to your corporate residency and two installments in your final year of the program.胼胼
